2009 Rhode Island Futsal State Cup Championship     Oceaneers Futsal will host the upcoming Rhode Island Futsal 2009 State Cup Championships that will be held January 17, 2009.   This annual state championship event serves as the qualifier for team acceptance into the United States Futsal Federation's Northeast /Mid-Atlantic Regional Championships being held in New York on February 14-16, 2009.  Regional winners qualify for the 2009 US Futsal National Championships in Baltimore, Maryland, July 17-20, 2009. All Divisions will take place on Saturday 01/17  Accepted Age Groups: Girls U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16 & U19 Boys U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, U15, U16 & U19 Format: Qualifiyng rounds are 25 minutes without half time. FINALS are 2 full 25 minute halves. Running clock during all matches. Tournament Fee:   Futsal Member Team Fee: $250.  Non Futsal Team Fee: $250. plus $10. US Futsal Federation fee per player & coach. Note: Teams are accepted on a first come first serve basis,  Space and court time is limited!  No team submission will be accepted without payment being made.

Oceaneers Futsal Academy   Players are invited to increase their passing and foot skills and train under the direction of regional and nationally experienced Oceaneers coaches and players.     Saturday futsal training at Sherwood Ultra Sports will be catered to youth players ages U5-U10.   Starting 01/10/2009 and running 5 sessions from 2 - 3:30 PM. Our skills classes are designed to teach basic through advanced ball skills as well as improve on already existing skills in a competitively fun environment. Our instructor will focus on player's ball control, speed, timing and coordination through specific drills that simultaneously improve the player’s agility, fitness and confidence with the ball.
